WriteForTheStage started up in 2012 as part of Studio Salford to help people get their ideas out of their heads and onto the page. And then we took those words off the page and presented them to an invited audience.
We’re now in our 14th term of the WFTS Intro course and have helped over a hundred writers realise their ideas and bring their work to an audience.
We realised, however, that it‘s no good just writing the script and then leaving it on a dusty, old hard-drive somewhere. Theatre scripts are written to be performed - and so we set up the WriteForTheStage Producers course.
Since we set up, participants of the Producers course have had four Arts Council grants and we’ve helped eight productions find an audience. In just three years. That’s not bad going.
So, we start the new term of the WriteForTheStage Producers course this coming Sunday (14th April).
It’s not too late to join.
Check out the details of the course and book a place, and learn about casting, marketing, budgeting, teching, and applying for funding, so that you can get your project off the ground with confidence and support.
If you’re preparing for a production at this year’s Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, we can help make your production a great success.
