The WriteForTheStage Podcast

Writer: Mike HeathMike Heath

We're dedicated to sharing the love, here at WriteForTheStage and are very excited to be launching the very first WFTS Podcast.

The WFTS Podcast is going to be a regular broadcast that explores elements of stage-writing for free. We'll be focusing on specific stage-writing devices, such as structure, character development, functions of dialogue, action, critical questioning, and more; as well as hosting chat and conversations with established playwrights.

The first episode explores the functions of Act 1 within the 3-act structure. It's available to listen to here or you can listen directly from this blog.

The next episode is going to be a conversation with Stephen M Hornby, who will be a regular contributor to The WFTS Podcast. We'll be discussing some of the big questions in theatre, and exploring what makes work great - and what doesn't.
