Studio Salford Development Week 9 is go! (Well, nearly)

Studio Salford Development Week is all about new things - new writing and new artists trying out new work. And it's your opportunity to be part of an audience that can make a difference to the work before it goes into full production.

The work that is aired at Development Week is great - it's usually work that has had lots of prior development at the laptop or with pen and paper. Writing is a often a solitary occupation - we spend hours of slog making our plots work, our characters feel real and finding the often elusive ending - but no man (or anyone of any gender, for that matter) is an island. We often overlook aspects of our own work, and this is what makes Development Week such an essential part of the development of the work. It gives an opportunity to iron out the creases before it goes into production, to share what we have been bubbling away with in the lab.

Everything is FREE (apart from the Intro Showcase, £5) and there's loads of opportunities to get involved in writing for yourself. Sat 25th is workshop day - come and take part and get your writing performed by professional actors.
