WriteForTheStage Books

WriteForTheStage is all about getting you writing and then helping your work find a life after the course.

We've got lots of ways of helping you do that, with various levels of playwriting courses suitable for all levels of experience.

But what better way to immortalise our participant's words  - we thought - than the good, old-fashioned medium of print in paperback and the not-so-old-fashioned digital e-book?

WriteForTheStage Books was developed solely for this purpose - to give performed work developed through the courses an additional outlet, a potential revenue stream, and a wider audience.

All work produced through the course is considered for publication (with the agreement of the writer, of course).

We produce the best possible draft for publication. We require:

  • the piece to have been through a full, thorough rehearsal process with appropriate scripting amendments

  • a run of public performances with further audience feedback

  • a final, post-rehearsal, post-feedback draft

WFTS Books also supports The Greater Manchester Fringe Festival through The WriteForTheStage Prize for New Writing.
